Wing war $15 per entry
You will receive 1 token to use as your vote (choose wisely)
Vote with your chip by placing it into the container with the number that is your favorite flavor wings. Voting ends at 7:30pm.
Each token will count as a Vote for your favorite wing.
The restaurant with the most tokens will be declared the winner and receive a Ribs Rods and Rock n' Roll trophy to display in the restaurant until next year's event.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Vermillion Food Pantry.
Vermillion Housing Authority Dunk Tank
Local Celebrities'/Dignitaries/Personalities'/School official's, will be perched in the Dunk Tank giving you an opportunity to dunk them in the tank... for a fee of course.
All proceeds will go directly to the Vermillion Housing Authority to help support our local friends and neighbors that utilize their services.

"Hy-Vee" Backyard BBQ Competition
Do you think you are a master BBQ'er? This is your chance.
Limited to 10 amateur contestants
Each team will receive 8 racks of Hy-Vee ribs on Saturday morning.
Ribs will be turned in at 4:45pm for "Peoples Choice" judging.
Same Day Sign Up and Warm Ups - 8am - 9am The "NEW" Pickle ball courts at Cotton Park, in lower Vermillion Scoring format will depend on the size of the draw. 2 Match guarantee unless same day signup $20 per team entry fee 1/2 of entry fees will be distributed as prize money
Polaris/Old Lumber Company - Side by Side Ride and shine
8:30am - Meet at the parking lot on South side of OLC for registration. 9:30am -Depart OLC for ride - will be on both hard surface and gravel, appropriate safety equipment required. 11:30am - arrive back at OLC parking lot for show and shine
All side by sides welcome
Event coordinators will lead the ride on a pre-determined route
Drivers/passengers assume all responsibilities for any mishaps.

Pre-game with Trailer Park Country before the USD football game vs. Lamar at the Platz stage downtown Vermillion

4:45pm Local Scouting troop will be holding their annual Pinewood Derby competition.

What in People's Choice Rib contest?
Ribs are donated by Hy-Vee and distributed to Backyard BBQ contestants on Saturday morning. 10 Contestants show off their BBQ skills by cooking approx. 8 racks of Ribs.
Rib Turn-in is at 4:45pm on Saturday afternoon.
Anyone can participate, with a maximum of 100 chips sold.
Each participant will receive a total of 10 ribs, once each rib is eaten, they use their chip to select the best Rib of the competition.
The contestant with the most chips is declared the winner.
Top 3 places will be announced from the CorTrust Stage.
Chips can be purchased at the information tent in front of CorTrust Bank for $20 per chip.
Proceeds from the sale of the Ribs will be donated to the Local Food Pantry.

Our event is all about community and giving back. After the 2024 event, our committee was able to give to several individuals or community organizations.
2 Scholarships were given to Vermillion High School Graduates that will be attending Vo-tech training
