What is a “Corn Hole Tourney” 
 
  • Anyone can participate
  • Team sign-up at registration booth in front of Café Brule on Main Street
  • Registration 5:00-6:00pm.
  • Entry fee - $30 per team
  • Tournament location - Intersection of Main Street and Prospect, in front of Café Brule
  • Cash payout for
    • 1st and 2nd Place

  • Bracketing depends on # of teams registered

What is People Choice “Wings War” –
  • Wings will be prepared and provided by local restaurants.

  • People’s Choice Judging
  • Anyone can participate, but limited to the first 100 entrants.
  • Sign-up at registration booth in front of CorTrust Bank
  • Begins at 5:30pm.
  • Wing war $20 per entry
  • You will receive 1 token to use as your vote (choose wisely)
  • Vote with your chip by placing it into the container with the number that is your favorite flavor wings.  Voting ends at 7:30pm. 
  • Each token will count as a Vote for your favorite wing.
  • The restaurant with the most tokens will be declared the winner and receive a Ribs Rods and Rock n' Roll trophy to display in the restaurant until next year's event.  
  • Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Vermillion Food Pantry.

Backyard BBQ Competition

Do you think you are a master BBQ'er?  This is your chance. 
  • Limited to 10 amateur contestants
  • Each team will receive 8 racks of Hy-Vee ribs on Saturday morning. 
  • Ribs will be turned in at 4:45pm for "Peoples Choice" judging.

Polaris/Old Lumber Company - Side by Side Ride and shine

9:00am - Meet at the parking lot on South side of OLC for registration.
10:00am -Depart OLC for ride - will be on both hard surface and gravel, appropriate safety equipment required.
2:15pm - arrive back at OLC parking lot for show and shine
  • All side by sides welcome
  • Event coordinators will lead the ride on a pre-determined route
  • Drivers/passengers assume all responsibilities for any mishaps.  
  • Ribs Rods & Rock 'n Roll, OLC or Polaris assume no liability and are released from any liability for damage to property, passenger or violations.

Sweat it out with Recharge at the Ribs, Rods, and Rock 'n' Roll event!
Recharge Training is leading a free bodyweight workout on Saturday, September 6th, from 8:30 to 9:15 AM.
Join us on the corner of Market Street, in front of Leo's and Cafe Brule, for a fun and energizing workout to kick off your day. All you need are workout shoes and a water bottle!

Come get a workout in with us before you enjoy the festivities!

Bio: Recharge Training is a locally owned gym in Vermillion dedicated to helping individuals improve their health and quality of life through strength and conditioning. Our classes are designed to meet you wherever you are on your fitness journey, helping you feel stronger, healthier, and more capable in your everyday life. Located in the strip mall near Walmart.

What in People's Choice Rib contest?
  • Ribs are donated by Hy-Vee and distributed to Backyard BBQ contestants on Saturday morning.  10 Contestants show off their BBQ skills by cooking approx. 8 racks of Ribs. 
  • Rib Turn-in is at 4:45pm on Saturday afternoon. 
  • Anyone can participate, with a maximum of 100 chips sold.   
  • Each participant will receive a total of 10 ribs, once each rib is eaten, they use their chip to select the best Rib of the competition. 
  • The contestant with the most chips is declared the winner.
  • Top 3 places will be announced from the CorTrust Stage.
  • Chips can be purchased at the information tent in front of CorTrust Bank for $20 per chip.  

Proceeds from the sale of the Ribs will be donated to the Local Food Pantry.

100% of proceeds go to "The VHS Drama Department"!
Local Celebrities'/Dignitaries/Personalities'/School official's, will be perched in the Dunk Tank giving you an opportunity to dunk them in the tank... for a fee of course.
